I win again!! This time Shure headphones
If there is anyone that has had a year of LUCK, it is me. Firstly, I won the J&B Start a Party for May. Complete with Limo, Ipod, free food and drinks for my friends, a fun Mirror Ball Man, and a box of goodies. Not to mention, an engraved bottle of J&B which went to my Dad.
This was followed by winning Armin van Buuren tickets, which I could not use because of the intensity of lighting in "God`s Kitchen." Then came a few other lucky draws here and there. I thought the universe had over indulged me, until Monday evening.
I was going to not go to the demonstration at Music Connection by Shure. But I have always admired their microphones, and was curious to learn about the products and see what else the audio giant was doing. After an interesting chat on the SM58 and other amazing products, Shure did the lucky draw. We were all given tickets. Prize after prize was announced, and finally the major prize was announced. The winner of the Shure SRH440 Headphones was me! I was shocked, as I needed better audio for my pc, as my producing skills were being hampered by speakers that were not letting me hear my mistakes. Timing with recording is important, as producers for percussion etc, must have perfectly timed midi to work with, else the track becomes a nightmare.
Granted I got home too late to play with my new headphones, but on Tuesday, I sat down with these beauties and had a lovely jam sessions. They sound nice on my keyboard, but phenomenal off my computer. The cushioning is fantastic, and outside noise is perfectly blocked out. Well done Shure on an excellent product! Now it`s time to get that SM58 Microphone!
